Grant Lewis and Lindsay Simpson welcome you on board Mi Lady. Grant and Lindsay own two boats: MiLady and Providence V, a tallship based in the Whitsundays in the Great Barrier Reef. They spend the summer months in Europe with MiLady where they will be your hosts on the sails around Corfu and the neighbouring islands. They bought MiLady in 2014.
Lindsay and Grant understand what it is to travel and what makes your holiday memorable. They have chosen some itineraries to cater for all tastes. They have spent 10 years looking after their guests and care about your time on board. All charters are skippered. Occasionally, during the busy summer months, sometimes another skipper might be appointed if they are busy on the Great Barrier Reef.
Lindsay is the author and co-author of nine books, five in the true crime genre. She is also a journalist and now writes fulltime. Her work has appeared inThe Australia Way in Qantas magazine. One of her books, Brothers in Arms co-authored with her best friend Sandra Harvey, was made into a television mini-series Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms by the producers of Underbelly and had over a million viewers. She also runs life writing retreats in Australia and overseas.
More about Lindsay:
Grant has had many occupations - all seafaring. He has been Captain of a cruise ship in the Kimberley as well as skippering Providence V and Mi Lady. In his home state of Tasmania, he was a fisherman, commercial diver and when he met Lindsay, he was diving for sea urchins.
Grant is always happy when he is either on the water or tinkering with his boats. He is a foreign going master and is a Master 500 ton.
Providence V is the first boat Grant & Lindsay owned together. They bought her in May 2005 and their five kids have all grown up learning how to belay a cleat and hoist the mainsail. Over the years, they have all worked on Providence either on deck or doing bookings, designing websites and lending a helping hand.
Providence V offers day sails to Whitehaven and Dumbbell in the Whistunday Islands and sunset sails.
Mi Lady is in a class of her own with French attention to elegance. A 54DS Jeanneau sailing yacht (in survey for 10 people) she has three large cabins, all with en suites. The Master cabin is a deluxe cabin occupying double the space of a normal cabin. She also has two double cabins (beds can be separated); air conditioning/heating; generator; microwave; luxury fittings; DVD player (music inside and outside on deck) and a bow thruster.
The Mediterranean has always been one of our dreams. We believe in dreaming and following our heart.
On one of our charters in Greece in the Saronic Gulf, we discovered Epidavros or Epidaurus, the most celebrated healing centre of the Classical world dating back to 6th century BC. Those who visited spent time in the enkoimeteria, a big sleeping hall to find a cure for their ailments.
Follow your dreams.
